A Little Getaway Spot in France
I've only been working full time for three days, and I already could use a little getaway. Actually I'm working two jobs. Decor worker by day, and tango worker by night.
This lovely little stone house is somewhere in France, and just looks so charming.
It has all the things I love. Old stone walls, antiques. charm, beautiful gardens, well you get the picture.
I love the bedrooms with the beam ceilings and the chandeliers.
The stone floors look so fabulous, with a patina to die for. And the colors!
Even the bath looks good! Another great beam ceiling and the lovely old claw foot tub.
The rates aren't too bad. I'd like to book a week. Contact them HERE
If I lived nearby, I would come and lend a hand to help you and then when everything was finally finished we would rendez-vous at that spot.
ReplyDeleteI bet we would find some "jolie" plates.
Can I join you? I will go to the market and do the cooking.
ReplyDeleteOoooo. Le Week-end. Dibs on the daybed. Not many cooking skills here (as Mo says, "You and your casseroles.") but I can purchase wonderful textiles and sew up a souvenir pillow for each of us. And some herb-filled sacs as well. I'll even cough up a poem to mark the occasion.
ReplyDeleteOooooh It IS a gorgeous little getaway!! I'm in!
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrifc get-away that would be. That little stone cottage inspires me to paint it.
ReplyDeleteValorie...may I go too? I will make sure we have plenty of Veuve Cliquot!
ReplyDeleteCome by my blog...you are mentioned!
Blessings...
Oh, how I wish. Sighhhhhh. laurie
ReplyDeleteWe could rent it out for a month or so and just have everyone come and blog our hearts out. Then we could hit the countryside and dance our way into town!! Count me in - I'll bring the sheets and towels!

XXX's
Don't leave me out. I love the charming tile roof.
ReplyDeleteV~ This soooo reminds me of an absolutely to-die-for place in France that we once stayed in ~~~ it was NAPOLEON'S VACATION VILLA (or one of them) & it was sooooo fabulous... OBVIOUSLY everything was beautifully "antiquidated" and those stone walls, ah! And the grounds? Ah! It was just about one of T-H-E most wonderful places we've ever stayed... just wish I could remember the NAME to share w/ everyone!!! WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!! The pace there was soooo slow n' relaxing n' comfy, and there really WERE sooo many spots to sit in the "gardens" and read or just contemplate~~~ loved every relaxing minute of it all!!! If I didn't dislike flying so much anymore, I WOULD book us a return trip, JUST to go there & a few other FAV spots! Thanks for the memories~~ my day is starting off BEAUTIFULLY because of you! THANK YOU! Warmly, Linda
ReplyDelete*** OOOOH! Looks like "CAREY" is a wonnnnderful pal to have, especially when travelling!!! "Hi, Carey"! Best, Linda***
ReplyDelete...and KAREN, too... heck, everybody sounds FUN!!! SMILES~~~
ReplyDeleteMerci beaucoup, Linda:) And hello to you too! (Well, I can be a lot of fun. . . as long as nobody pops their chewing gum or whistles mindlessly. We all have our limits: mine reside in the ear)
ReplyDeleteThat looks like the MOST DIVINE getaway... ENJOY!!!!!!
