Buenos Aires Design - Mecca For A Visual Vamp

The entrance in Recoleta

Down the escalator into the eye candy world of the store MORPH

A packable purchase, a faux leather dish used for bread or chips, $12. US

Cute display of an ordinary item-if you're handy, you could stencil this at home

Nestled into a low hillside in the upscale neighborhood of Recoleta - near the famous cemetery, and on weekends home to a great outdoor crafts and art market, Buenos Aires Design is mecca for anyone who loves things for the home. It is a huge indoor mall filled with store after store of very nice things at all price points.
The anchor store is a the huge chain store MORPH. It's filled with very reasonably priced things, including furniture HERE.
The major design influence in Buenos Aires is on the modern side. Small living spaces invite simple clean and fun pieces that often do double duty for storage. Traditional spaces also exist, as do spaces filled with antiques. However, most retail outlets tend to feature modern design with iconic mid century influeneces.
I took alot of "illegal" photos. Stores in Buenos Aires do not allow picture taking in general. But the hubs ran interference for me, placing himself between me and the security guards. I clicked quickly, so quality of pictures may suffer a little. I finally got busted as I took the last photo on the way out. The guardian angels of visual vamps were with me that day!
