Lacroix Is Selling In Paris

Christian Lacroix has put his 2,150-square-foot apartment in the now trendy Marais district of Paris on the market for nearly $2.6 million.

Let's take a peek inside at what we can't afford ha ha...

What a great living room, or should I say salon? I call it fabulous! Love the high ceilings and tall windows.

Lots of nice off hand bohemian touches that the French do so well.

Like pairing an antique fireplace with that crazy mirror. The little stripe chest looks very DYI, but I'm sure it is something very fancy pants.

I love the green and purple chairs, and of course the white chandelier is to die for. I doubt that it's being sold furnished, but I wonder if the chandelier stays.

Of course the childlike painting kind of sums up the whole feeling of the decor. And do you spy the two white patent leather covered chairs, and the Foranessti desk chair? The beams and stairway make this feel more like a house than an apartment.

The floors are my favorite, wonderful old wood laid out in the classic French apartment chevron pattern. This hall is so sweet, and leads out to a courtyard.

Isn't this just beautiful? It's always an added luxury to have outdoor space in a huge city.

So that's it. One last peek at some drop dead boiseries.

  1. If I am ever nominated for anything requiring a red carpet, or if I ever receive an invitation to the Obama White House.... I want LaCroix to create my dress. I just love his designs. I saw the photo in the Times magazine this morning and once again marveled at his unique way with colour. And, I want some of those floral stockings!!

  3. I love it because it doesn't look like an interior designer has over processed the place. Oh and because its a Lacroix darling, a Lacroix.

  4. I almost didn't read this post because I thought it was about fashion, and I am SO not into fashion.

But, because it is you, and because I am writing a post with you in it, I came over to get the link to your blog. I am so glad I did...

What a beautiful post! I do love the character and individuality of this place. So many of the the pictures we see in the magazines are styled within an inch of their lives, so to see a house with such quirky character is a treat. It looks like he has collected some personal treasures that are both at odds with each other, and work together beautifully.
