The Messy Bed Shoot

Our cat Shadow died when she was 18. She died the year before Katrina. I always said that if we were to get another cat, it would find us.

Meet Kitty Kitty Bang Bang.

We were at the vet with Cholo (routine stuff). They have a section with rescue cats for adoption. While I was paying the bill, Alberto was cruising the kitty cats, and he was very impressed with the one and only cat left. She was very social, flirting her way into his heart.

The manager came over and opened the cage, and said she didn't know if the little black and white kitty with white socks and a bob tail was dog friendly. She said she loved kids. Well it was love at first sight for Kitty and Cholo.

We hesitated, saying we would think abut it. But Cholo would not leave the glass partition where Kitty Kitty Bang continued to play with him. We had never seen Cholo so engaged with anything.

So daddy got Cholo the best plaything he has ever had.


We all feel so young and happy thanks to Kitty Kitty Bang Bang.

    oooh LOVELY!!! I put off getting a kitty too... then on FB someone we knew asked for help and we took two.... they have made my life MORE enjoyable... ENJOY your new bundle... good to see your furries LOVE each other too!

    Oh, she's just a doll. I had a tuxedo cat once and he was absolutely the best cat ever. I am so looking forward to hearing about the adventures of Kitty Kitty and Cholo now....:)

    Oh...how cute! Cholo got a new friend. I love it when dogs and cats love each other. I used to have a cat that my dogs loved. She wasn't that crazy about them but she tolerated them. Growing up I had a little female dachshund and a big orange male cat that grew up together. They LOVED each other. They would walk around the yard with their little heads pressed together. It was inter species love for sure.

    *squeak* Your Kitty looks just like my Bella! Bella loooooves our Golden Retriever, but sadly, he is unimpressed with her charms. (Oh, it's so sad. She lays down next to him and rolls around...rubbing her had on his paws. He just looks at her like "Go away, already." Oddly, he is the only animal she likes out of the 7 we have.)

    AWWWWW! I just love your new addition and I love the name too. Growing up I had a white German Shepard who allowed our cat to lay on his back while they both sunbathed on the porch! Cutest thing ever. Can't wait for more stories about your babies.

    KKBB is cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute!!!! oddly enough our vet has an adoption "cage" with one little b&w cat left...all the others were adopted.
    cholo is unbelievably cute as well. those are my favity fave kinds of dogs. can't wait to meet the little animal children.
