BTW I see lots of ladies of my age with purple hair these days. I did mine last September. Alberto loved it. And I still love it. It's a new take on the blue hair-lavender hair grandmothers who used put a rinse on their gray hair in the 1960s. And younger women are rockin' it too.
I love your hair, I like a bronzie colour of lipstick, it doesn't always go with my outfit, but what the...H. Hang in there.

ReplyDeleteAny shade of a classic red lipstick & a nice pour of a very good Riesling. Shades of chic go beyond wall and fabric colors, Valorie! No rinse and repeat of the way blue hair-lavender hair grandmothers did it, and thank goodness. I love reading that Alberto loved your hair color. It is nice to be able to connect with him through the wonderful memories and times you share with us.
ReplyDeleteI have to tell you here in Germany Purple hair is all the rage from dark burgundy (most popular) to the lightest lavender and everything in between. Young and old alike love to experiment with there hair style and color. Gotta love the creativity!

ReplyDeleteI like a lipstick the same colour as my lips i.e. quite neutral, although in the 1980s I used to wear a plumb coloured lipstick, so dated now but I loved it at the time. My favourite cocktail is a Pina Colada, preferably served in a coconut (is a Pina Colada a cocktail?).

We have a young girl at work who has the blue hair rinse - you're ahead of your time.
Vodka martini straight up with a twist, Lancome's Champagne lipstick for 30+ years until they changed the formula (WHY??) and now I don't have a favorite. You look fabulous! Think of you often and continue to send prayers when I do.
