Summer Reading - Key West A Tropical Lifestyle

Just to get you in the mood for Summer, Key West: A Tropical Lifestyle, by Leslie Linsley, presents the true character of this unique American place in twenty-two residences of real people. This is a great book for a visual vamp. The book has lots of great photos (by Terry Pommet, and many of them styled by designer Michael Pelkey - his home is the cover shot, as well as being featured inside...) of many beautiful decors. Engaging anecdotes drawn from interview with homeowners, designers, and architects. Reflecting the style and personalities of their owners, these houses and gardens simultaneously respect and extend a distinctive legacy. HERE

The following photos are from my scrapbook. I've been to Key West many times...

Besame Mucho - a great little shop
with pretty things for the home
as well as beauty products

Five Brothers corner store - great Cuban coffee & sandwiches

Pepe's restaurant - been around since the 1920's - great food
