What a momentous day !
ReplyDeleteMissed the live coverage :( so off to watch the highlights - great photos V :)
I read somewhere that Michelle's daytime dress is the same color as Pantone's color of the year for 2009 - Mimosa 'a warm engaging yellow' that expressed optimism, hope, and reassurance. To me, it came across more as chartreuse. Either way, it looked lovely on her, very appropriate for the day.
ReplyDeleteThere were people with all sorts of crazy costumes -it was so fun - like mardi gras in DC LOL. Lots of furs too!
ReplyDeleteAn amazing day. I felt as Yo Yo Ma looked. Didn't he appear to be having a blast?
ReplyDeleteI feel American, connected to the human race, hopeful and plain old happy.
ReplyDeletethat hat was my FAVE orite! and those little girls were adorable. How much do you love how laid back Michelle is with those kids.
ReplyDeleteI love all of the colors! They're family is just so down to earth and Michelle is such an intelligent, down to earth and well spoken person. Every time I watch her interviews, there's this sincerity about her that just shines through. How could anyone not be attracted to this family?
ReplyDeleteomg
