Carnival Roundup

This is the week long celebration leading to Mardi Gras. The Vamp has a day job on Bourbon Street!

There are parades and parties everyday.

With the World Champion Saints coming home there is an added parade tomoorow night to continue what is sure to be at least a week long celebration of their winning the Super Bowl.

These are snap shops I took last year while we were out and about in the streets.

All over town, Canal Street, Uptown, The Quarter - the party is everywhere you look.

All ages participate! Isn't she gorgeous?!

Music is everywhere.

And oh my the royalty!

Lots of humor and satire abound.

It's fun to see the the political climate of last year (2009).

And always sexy guys are around as eye candy.

Costumes often include elaborate props.

Papier mache floats are huge rolling works of art.

Revelers - we love the revelers!

Another Mardi Gras float that is a work of art!

Religious kooks come out to save us.

Love the pimp cups!

Local humor.

Kids are a huge part of Carnival and Mardi Gras.

Love a mounted cop!

Too much good Creole food!

Fleur de lis everywhere!

Carnival at dusk - the magic of the night approaches.

More music. Check out their "drums".

Home made float.

Krewe of Kops

The Cone of Uncertainty never looked so cute.

An old time walking krewe.

Boeuf Gras

Blind people even enjoy Mardi Gras!!

Da bigga da betta!

Black and gold!!!

Help a poor banker.

Big hot lips.

Big cute cop.

Oh my! Viagra Falls!!!

Screwed!

African Queen and her handsome conscort.

Pimp twins.

Hope you enjoyed the fun!!!
