New Orleans supreme chick artist Amanda Talley has moved into some new residential digs!
She scored a cute carriage house in The Garden District close to her First Street studio.
Casa Sugar did a great post about it, and you can see more pictures HERE.

ReplyDeleteFabulous giveaway! If money's no object, CALEDONIA, though there are many other gorgeous paintings that could find a home, here! Luckily, I have just the place for a small AT painting, if I were the lucky winner!
ReplyDeleteI met you last year on a trip to New Orleans and you suggested I join your blog if I loved the store--and I did--I have so enjoyed it and thank you for giving me a chance to win this amazing piece!! I love Amanda's work--my favorite piece is Celle (but I also love Caledonia). Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love Sante Fe. Can not get enough of orange these days. Very happy, yet sophisticated works. I would hang her art in my living/dining room. I will send you a picture. I read your blog daily...brings me inspiration!
ReplyDeleteMoney no object, I would choose Thistle from her recent works. I have a place that screams for it and I will email details!
ReplyDeleteI am drawn to the pair of framed drawings grey, black, & light blues in white frames.
ReplyDeleteI would totally put it in my master above the bed. It seems so tranquil & calming.
I am a huge Amanda Talley fan. I would choose Bald Eagle fo my dining room.
ReplyDeleteI like the B&W pieces on the tan kinda background from her recent work.
ReplyDeleteSo impossible to pick just one! I think it would be FORTUNATA (or maybe PHILIP STREET)
ReplyDeleteThey are all wonderful! I am following now, you can follow me too if you want! Kisses, Froso from Style Nirvana
ReplyDeleteValorie - When you do a giveaway, you really do a giveaway! Love all her work, so it's hard to choose just one ... but put me down for Napolean. I will send my photo post-haste!

This is so exciting, even the thought at possibly winning is so much fun! Thank you Valorie! I think my favorites are Celle and Napoleon. Absolutely goregous...she has serious talent. I love the Saints Superbowl one too!
ReplyDeleteI adore AT's work and have her on my 'go to' list next time I'm in NOLA! I like CROWDS and also from her recent work, the 3rd one that scrolls through, I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the name.
ReplyDeletet will be going in my LR (go here, scroll to LR - after painting pix, http://renaemoore.blogspot.com/2010/01/transparency-and-perfection-home-tour.html)

Oh my, if I were to win, I would want Cele, Celdonia or Freesia. I love them all. I will hang it in my newly renovated kitchen! I would admire it every day.
ReplyDeleteI will send you a sketch -

I so am in love with everything. But my favorite is Cele. If I won it I would give it to my very generous father in-law. He loves modern art work and he also gives so much to not only our family but to others that I feel he would deserve such a lovely piece to look at. I think it would look so wonerful in the dining room which sits next to the spectacular view of the sea.
ReplyDeleteThis is john.........i luv your page, stuff, pictures, designs, god i love everything about you.....xxxooo
ReplyDeleteValorie, what a great giveaway!I have been wanting one of Amanda's paintings and pass her gallery almost daily to pick my 3 year old up from school. My favorite is Celedonia ~ great color combination!I would love to have a small painting for my living room. Will send a picture. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteGosh! There are so many I love! But if I have to narrow it down it would be Twine, which just happens to be the one in her Living Room photo I think.I love the black and white ones, and Twine seems to have a tiny bit of aqua in it too. What a talent! Thanks for spreading the word!
ReplyDeleteI ADORE the monogram pillows - and the chic bar set-up on the butler's tray! Very nice!!
ReplyDeleteCeledonia would be the one! I love the color palette and the design!!
ReplyDeleteKarena
CHOPPER CITY all the way, Baby.
ReplyDelete(I haven't evolved very far in some areas of life, so must get help from the hubs with taking and posting "wonna them thar Eee-lectronic pitchers")
By the way, Talley's home zings the strings of my heart. I could walk right in and live there without changing a thing.
ReplyDeleteGosh! I'm totally flattered..thank you Valorie and thank you everyone for picking out your favorite pieces!I'm totally inspired to start painting today!
ReplyDeleteI would love anyone of them especially Freesia. I want one in my office which is in a totally unacceptable state at the moment to send you a pick. Can't wait to see you both in May!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to own one of Amanda's paintings. The Freesia painting is my choice! What a great give away. Off to email you a photo of my living room.
ReplyDeleteI promise I'll corner the hubs and email you a photo by tonight! It will be of our bedroom which is most definitely not done yet:(
ReplyDelete. . . or maybe of the hallway which is still the wrong color and loaded with patches because we moved our bedroom door eleven feet. But I am planning to fill the entire hallway with all black, white, and brown artwork.
ReplyDeleteWow what a great giveaway. Amanda's work is really the only artwork I have said I gotta buy one day. I wanted a gold/cream one I saw on her blog one day but am not seeing on her sight. Love "Thistle" too. This would go in my bedroom and I think it too will go where I can see it first thing everymorning when I wake up.
ReplyDeleteOh, what a great giveaway!! To win one of Amanda's paintings would make my day. I would pick Freesia, I am such a blue person, it is perfect for me and would go in just about any room in my house!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm in! Shut the gates!
ReplyDeleteThistle. I daresay I covet it.....every time I stop by Amanda's site for inspiration, I just marvel at that beauty. I'd kick my living room portrait to the curb if I thought Thistle would take its place. :)
ReplyDeleteam i too late? i certainly hope not! i would choose celedonia and give it to my wonderful new orleans friend who is getting married in april. she and her sweet fiance went back after katrina; my husband and i did not and we miss them so!
ReplyDeleteI'm probably too late, but I've been wanting one of Amanda's paintings since I first saw them. Narrowing my favorite down to one is the hardest part of this challenge, because I love them all!! I suppose Freesia, Philip Street & Napoleon are my favorites.
ReplyDeleteBeki - You're not too late!!!
ReplyDeleteStill accepting last minute entries!
Thanks!

After stopping in her gallery a few months ago, I fell in love with Amanda's framed drawings. She had them hung as a pair and together they made quite a statement. I do not recall the name of the particular drawings. However, if money were of no object, I would choose "Philip Street." For some reason I am drawn to the turquoises and sea blues. It must have something to do with being a water sign!
ReplyDelete"Primrose" That's the one. It is stunning and would be the perfect replacement for the antique granny needlepoint screen above my fireplace.
ReplyDeleteIf money is no object (or I have a bucket of money), I would pick Celedonia AND Santa Fe. I think Celedonia will be perfect for my living room and Santa Fe would be for my office above fireplace. What an exciting giveaway. Now I'm off to take some photos of the room.
ReplyDeleteI commented above on Saturdays post, not trying to score two trys, just trying to make sure I am in right place. The ones up to win are really just as amazing (size doesn't matter, right?)
ReplyDelete"Cele" though I love, love them all. I was introduced to Amanda's work awhile ago through a New Orleans friend. Will be there next week, hope to check out her studio. Great giveaway, thank you!
